Logan watched only long enough to make sure that damned mutt wasn’t doing anything to hurt Teddy.

Judging by the way Teddy moaned as Smith thrust his fingers inside him, stretching him, he wasn’t being hurt at all.

That was about as much as Logan was willing to violate the privacy of one of his omegas. He turned and started to walk away. He’d come back and check on things when they were done.

Logan knew that, normally, in other larger packs, there would be punishment to be had for the things that Teddy had suggested. He’d told Smith to run away. To leave the pack and make an escape before he could be caught.

Smith had told Teddy to come with him.

Yes, those were great big problems all right. Teddy was part of Logan’s pack, and if that asshole was trying to convince his mate, a helpless omega, to go back to a place where he would have his limbs ripped off before he was murdered, then that would need to be rectified.

Smith could have all the money in the world, it didn’t matter. What mattered was how his pack had tried to kill Logan’s pack.

There was nothing Logan could do to get back at them for that, but it didn’t matter. None of it mattered. What mattered was that Teddy, Scott, no one else went back there. It was too dangerous. Max had made his intentions perfectly clear.

A howling sound picked up in the wind once Logan returned to the fire.

Scott was polishing off a goose leg. They were eating pretty well tonight, and Logan was happy that Scott wouldn’t go to sleep with his stomach growling at least. He wished he could keep that true for every night.

“Everything okay?” Griffin asked.

Logan nodded. “Yeah, but when Smith comes back here, we’re going to have to have a little chat with him.”

“What happened?” Scott asked, his head popping up, away from the last bite of meat left on the bone he was holding.

Logan shook his head. “Nothing too bad, but you might want to make yourself scarce when they get back here.”

If they didn’t come back in a timely manner, Logan was going to go out there and find them himself.
